NSPCC Number Day Fills School with Mathematical Fun
What an incredible day of maths we had at school! The corridors and classrooms were transformed into a vibrant celebration of all things mathematical, with numbers, dots, spots, patterns and stripes everywhere you looked.
From the moment the children arrived, there was a real buzz of energy and excitement. They threw themselves into a wide range of mathematical activities and challenges, and it was fantastic to see them engaging with maths in such creative and enjoyable ways.
One of the highlights was watching children play “Mathionaire”, a quiz-style game that had them solving problems and working collaboratively. Many other activities took place throughout the day, from pattern-making and shape investigations to problem-solving challenges and number games.
A huge thank you to all our parents and carers for your wonderful support of this event. Your contributions to the NSPCC will always be gratefully received, while giving our children an unforgettable day of mathematical celebration.
Well done to all our pupils for their fantastic effort and positive attitudes. You’ve shown that maths at Fetcham Village Infant School really is something to celebrate!
