MONEY RAISED THIS TERM
The Craft Night was held in April and raised £201.48. Everyone had a great night and we will look at doing another one in the future.
We raised £137.55 with our stall at Fetcham Festival - thank you to all the volunteers who helped out on the day.
We made £159 selling tea coffee at Sports Day - thank you to everyone who helped on the stall, and those that baked cakes for us to sell.
Throughout June, the Friends of Fetcham Village Infant School participated in the Waitrose Leatherhead 'Community Matters' scheme. We are pleased to share that we raised £201 for the school! Thank you to all those who shopped and dropped their green tokens.
THE FRIENDS NEED YOU!
As a new academic term approaches, we have positions available on the committee
including Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Vice Treasurer.
The Chair and Vice Chair are responsible for the smooth running of the Friends including:-
- Organising our annual Christmas and May Fairs
- Organising termly Friends meetings
- Overseeing other fundraising activities as decided by the committee e.g. quiz nights, Christmas cards, Phil the bag etc.
- Organising volunteers for events such as Fetcham Festival, Oakfest, Sports Day, Harvest Festival
- Welcoming new parents at the New Parents Coffee Morning
- Organising the AGM
You don't need to have been on the committee before to volunteer and you will receive lots of support from the other committee members who will all be experienced having been in their role for at least a year before you start. The current Chair is staying on the committee and will be more than willing to offer support and guidance in any way that helps.
If you would like to know more about any of the roles available (no obligation for asking!) then feel free to talk to Gaenor (current Chair) on 07795 030391 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
